Trekked the Grand Canyon

Long lost friends we met
Relived the memories kept

Houses were large with backyards
Built to resist earthquake hazards

Wardrobes were walk-in closets
Containing denims and cowboy hats

$2 for a gallon of gas we paid
Supposedly came from the Iraq raid

Stopped at crossroads, speeded on freeway
On this trip to the U S of A
